I’m Maya, a writer and photographer capturing the stories of our world

A reporter at Global Business Reports, I travel the world with my notebook and camera. My job requires on-the-ground reporting across the globe. I have been stationed in Chile, Peru, Canada, and the U.S.

Previously, I wrote for the Science + Technology team at Medscape/WebMD where I covered quirky science stories.

I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience and English Language and Literature.

My films attempt to capture the essence of existence in each location I spend extensive periods of time. I lived for extensive periods of time in 6 different countries so far. “Haussmannization in 2022”, a film capturing my time in Paris, France won first place in the UChicago Study Abroad Video Contest.
